About the Role
This is a full-time opening for a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney serving a top-rated civil defense practice founded in 1947. The firm represents both private and public entities across a broad spectrum of civil litigation matters. While the position is tied to San Francisco, California, it is structured to be performed remotely, giving qualified California attorneys the flexibility to contribute from anywhere in the state. Compensation ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage civil litigation matters on behalf of private and public sector clients
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy alongside senior attorneys
- Represent clients through depositions, hearings, and pretrial proceedings
- Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients and the litigation team
Qualifications
- Active license to practice law in the State of California (required)
- Background or demonstrated interest in civil litigation or civil defense work
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical capabilities
- Ability to manage a caseload independently in a remote work environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
