Business Development Representative (Midtown Manhattan)

Premium Merchant Funding is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative based in Midtown Manhattan to drive growth and expand our merchant customer base throughout the New York market. As a full-time member of our sales development team, you'll be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with merchants seeking reliable funding solutions.

Role Overview

In this position, you'll serve as a frontline business development professional, connecting growth-stage merchants with customized funding options tailored to their operational needs. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where your prospecting, communication, and relationship-building skills directly impact revenue growth. This role offers clear visibility into the merchant funding market and the opportunity to develop sales expertise while working with a collaborative team dedicated to supporting small and mid-sized businesses.

Your Responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify merchant leads through outbound phone calls, email campaigns, and networking within the New York business community
• Present Premium Merchant Funding's products and services to merchant prospects, addressing their funding needs and cash flow challenges
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking all prospect interactions and deal status within our CRM system
• Schedule consultations and sales meetings, facilitating conversations between prospects and account managers
• Conduct market research to identify high-potential merchant segments and emerging opportunities in the Midtown Manhattan area
• Meet or exceed monthly activity and pipeline targets while maintaining accurate records of all business development efforts
• Provide feedback from the field to help refine marketing messaging and sales strategies

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven sales development or business development experience, ideally in financial services, lending, or B2B sales
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with diverse business owners
• Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset, comfortable with activity-based metrics and quota accountability
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales prospecting tools
• Strong organizational abilities and time management skills in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
• Familiarity with the New York business landscape and merchant funding space is a plus
