BUSINESS ANALYST – CORPORATE BANKING (LIQUIDITY & CASH MANAGEMENT)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading financial institution in Saudi Arabia seeking a Business Analyst to support their Corporate Banking division, specifically within Liquidity and Cash Management. This is a critical role that bridges business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring the successful delivery of sophisticated cash management solutions for corporate clients across the region.

Our client operates at the forefront of corporate banking services, providing complex liquidity structures, payment solutions, and digital banking channels to major corporate clients throughout the GCC.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from Corporate Banking stakeholders for cash management products and platforms including host-to-host connectivity, API banking, virtual IBAN solutions, and liquidity pooling structures
• Serve as the primary liaison between Business, IT, Operations, and third-party vendors throughout the complete project lifecycle from requirements gathering through UAT and post-implementation support
• Produce comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), process flow diagrams, and user stories for change initiatives and new product launches
• Support end-to-end delivery of cash management initiatives including cash pooling, sweeping/topping arrangements, notional pooling, and multi-currency account structures
• Conduct gap analysis between current and target operating models, identifying process inefficiencies and automation opportunities
• Collaborate with Product Managers to design and roll out new liquidity management solutions aligned with client and market demands
• Work closely with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure new products and features comply with SAMA regulations and internal governance frameworks
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case preparation, defect tracking, and sign-off coordination
• Analyze transaction and liquidity data to identify trends, client behavior, and areas for product enhancement
• Support RFP responses, client onboarding requirements, and due diligence documentation for corporate clients
• Prepare management information reports, dashboards, and presentations on project status, product performance, and client usage
• Maintain current process documentation and ensure effective knowledge transfer to Operations and support teams

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or related field
• 3–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst within Corporate, Transaction, or Wholesale Banking with specific exposure to Cash Management and/or Liquidity Management products
• Proven experience working on cash management platforms such as host-to-host connectivity, SWIFT, API banking, virtual accounts, and liquidity structures
• Experience working within Saudi or GCC banking environments; familiarity with SAMA regulatory requirements highly desirable
• Experience with both Agile/Scrum delivery methodology and traditional Waterfall project environments
• Track record of managing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, IT, Operations, Compliance, and Risk teams

Essential Skills:

• Strong understanding of corporate banking liquidity concepts: cash pooling, sweeping, notional pooling, multi-currency/multi-entity structures, and interest optimization
• Solid grasp of payment rails and cash management infrastructure including SARIE, SWIFT, RTGS, ACH, host-to-host, and API connectivity
• Excellent business requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation skills (BRD/FSD, BPMN, UML)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with capacity to interpret complex data and processes
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio (or equivalent), and JIRA/Confluence
• Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
• Fluency in English required; Arabic language proficiency strongly preferred
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Knowledge of SAMA regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and general banking compliance standards

• CTP (Certified Treasury Professional)
