Woodrodgers seeks a Biologist in Roseville, CA for its Environmental Department on a full-time basis. This hourly, non-exempt staff role supports biological assessments and planning contributions across transportation and water resource projects serving communities in California.

Serving as a Biologist at Woodrodgers means applying scientific knowledge to help address ecological considerations on mobility infrastructure and water system initiatives. You will blend outdoor evaluation work with documentation tasks that advance both publicly funded and privately sponsored efforts, delivering practical environmental input that shapes outcomes from local streets to statewide facilities.

Core Duties

• Carry out biological field surveys examining flora, fauna, and habitat conditions on project locations
• Compose clear written records summarizing survey results and supporting project files
• Supply environmental assistance and monitoring services while construction activities take place
• Contribute technical biology input to the planning and delivery of road, bridge, pathway, flood control, and related developments
• Collaborate with teams to refine approaches that resolve environmental questions on regional and statewide assignments

Qualifications

• Three to seven years of prior experience in a similar biology or environmental planning capacity
• Demonstrated skill completing biological field surveys and producing associated written findings
• Practical background providing ecological support in construction settings or equivalent work
