Bilingual Online Billing & Support Agent – (French and English)

Indigo Books & Music is seeking a Bilingual Online Billing & Support Agent (French and English) for a full-time position in Toronto, Ontario. This role provides essential customer support and billing assistance through telephone and email, serving customers and internal teams with timely, professional resolution of inquiries and transactions.

Role Overview

As a Bilingual Online Billing & Support Agent with Indigo Books & Music, you'll be the essential connection between our customers and operations. You'll resolve customer inquiries, manage order issues, and maintain billing accuracy while supporting both our customer base and store teams. Fluency in French and English is required to serve our diverse customer community across Canada and ensure every customer receives support in their preferred language.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via telephone and email regarding orders, billing, and account information
• Provide order status updates and customer support to both retail stores and customer service departments
• Process refunds and account adjustments while ensuring accuracy and policy compliance
• Address billing inquiries and discrepancies with precision and professionalism
• Investigate and prevent fraudulent transactions to protect customers and company interests
• Manage failed payment recovery and coordinate with payment processing teams on chargebacks
• Document all interactions and maintain detailed records in company systems

Qualifications

• Fluent in both French and English with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated customer service experience in a bilingual support environment
• Proficiency with billing systems, payment platforms, and order management software
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities
• Ability to remain calm and professional while handling complex customer situations
• Availability to work full-time on-site in Toronto, Ontario
