Bilanzbuchhalter*in / Senior Finanzbuchhalter*in (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential manufacturing client in Velbert seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant. In this role, you will prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German GAAP), and provide accounting support for international subsidiaries including operations in the USA. You will serve as the primary contact for external auditors and tax authorities, managing preparation and coordination throughout audit cycles.

Your responsibilities include reviewing and validating VAT advance returns, managing annual provisions, and creating statistical reports and internal analyses. You will act as a subject matter expert and sparring partner for team members on complex accounting questions, and provide advisory support to other departments on tax and accounting matters.

What We're Looking For

• Completed commercial apprenticeship (e.g., Industrial Clerk, Tax Clerk, or equivalent qualification)
• Additional certification as Bilanzbuchhalter or Steuerfachwirt is advantageous
• Several years of substantial experience in financial accounting (required)
• Knowledge of German tax law; familiarity with international VAT law is desirable
• Excellent German language skills (written and spoken); strong English skills for international collaboration
• Analytical, structured, and independent working style
• Ability to explain complex technical matters clearly and enjoy professional knowledge exchange

Position Details
