About the Role

This full‑time position reports directly to the Store Manager and acts as the second‑in‑command for a Dollar General location. The role blends hands‑on floor work with administrative duties to ensure the store meets company goals for customer satisfaction, inventory accuracy, and profitability.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Store Manager in planning and executing daily sales targets and promotional activities.
• Supervise, train, and schedule store associates, providing coaching to improve performance and adherence to company policies.
• Oversee receiving, stocking, and merchandising of merchandise to maintain neat, fully stocked shelves and proper product presentation.
• Conduct regular store walks to identify safety hazards, ensure cleanliness, and enforce loss‑prevention procedures.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly, fostering a welcoming shopping environment.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, deposit preparation, and securing the premises.
• Assist with inventory control tasks such as cycle counts, damage reporting, and replenishment ordering.
