Associate General Counsel

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to join their Americas-based legal function. This role reports to the General Counsel and serves as a trusted legal advisor across commercial transactions, employment matters, corporate governance, data privacy, and compliance activities. You'll work with a technology-forward company that values practical, business-oriented counsel and leverages AI-enabled tools to drive legal operations excellence.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft, and manage SaaS agreements, technology licensing deals, strategic partnerships, procurement contracts, and other commercial agreements that support revenue growth and business objectives
• Provide risk-based legal guidance that balances commercial goals with appropriate protection of company interests
• Advise the People team on recruitment, employment contracts, compensation plans, benefits, workforce planning, employee relations, disciplinary matters, and workplace investigations
• Draft and review employment agreements, offer letters, separation agreements, and confidentiality documentation while ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws
• Develop scalable legal processes, playbooks, templates, and policies that improve consistency and risk management across the organization
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to streamline contract review, legal research, knowledge management, and workflow automation
• Champion an AI-first mindset by identifying opportunities to automate repetitive work and enhance legal service delivery
• Support corporate governance activities, entity management, annual filings, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Advise on data privacy, data security, AI governance, security questionnaires, data protection agreements, privacy framework submissions, DSAR requests, DPIAs, PIAs, and ROPAs
• Partner with stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other functions to deliver strategic legal counsel
• Coordinate with external counsel and lead special projects involving procurement, real estate, compliance, and dispute resolution
• Contribute to continuous improvement of legal operations through process innovation and knowledge sharing

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 10+ years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department supporting business operations
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
• Significant experience negotiating, drafting, and interpreting commercial contracts, including SaaS, licensing, and technology agreements
• Proven experience advising on employment law matters and supporting HR organizations
• AI-forward attorney with fluency across multiple AI platforms and demonstrated experience leveraging AI-enabled tools or automation technologies to improve productivity and streamline legal workflows
• Comfortable working natively in Salesforce CRM tools
• Ability to evaluate and responsibly utilize emerging technologies while maintaining appropriate legal judgment, confidentiality, and risk management practices
• Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and negotiation skills with strong business judgment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, DocuSign, Teams, and related workplace technologies
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities across multiple time zones
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted relationships at all organizational levels

Preferred:

• Experience in SaaS, eCommerce, or technology companies
• Experience supporting global or multi-jurisdictional organizations
• Background in privacy, compliance, corporate governance, or risk management
• Proactive, business-oriented mindset focused on practical solutions

• Location: USA (remote-first)
• Travel: Up to 10%
