A&F Trading Co. is hiring an Associate Apparel Designer for A&F Womens Outerwear & Non-Apparel in Columbus, Franklin County — a hands-on, full-time role for a creative who can carry an idea from first sketch to finished garment.
About the Role
As an Associate Apparel Designer at A&F Trading Co., you'll help shape the women's outerwear and non-apparel collections that define the brand. Based in Columbus, Franklin County, you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our design team to translate inspiration into authentic, well-crafted product, owning pieces of the journey from early concept through to the final sample.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the complete design and development cycle, from initial concept and flat sketches through prototype samples to production-ready garments.
- Contribute fresh, original ideas to women's outerwear and non-apparel assortments.
- Partner with designers and cross-functional teammates to ensure quality materials and thoughtful construction.
- Help refine fit, detailing, and finish across rounds of samples.
- Champion creativity and market-leading design rather than following existing trends.
Qualifications
- A genuine eye for design, materials, and garment construction.
- Strong sketching skills and the ability to communicate ideas visually, from flats to finished concepts.
- Curiosity and originality, with a drive to push design forward.
- Collaborative mindset and comfort managing details across the development process.
- Ability to work on-site in Columbus, Franklin County (this role is not remote).
