About the Role
This full-time leadership position oversees the career development and employer engagement function across the university. You will direct programming, policy, and partnerships that prepare students for professional success while building a pipeline of quality talent for our regional and national employer partners.
What You'll Do
- Design and execute career development programming, workshops, and events that support student professional readiness
- Build and nurture relationships with employers, corporate recruiters, and industry leaders to create internship and employment opportunities
- Collaborate with academic departments and student services to integrate career readiness into student experience
- Oversee employer recruitment activities, campus visit coordination, and on-campus interview scheduling
- Develop and manage internship placement initiatives and job search resources
- Track outcomes, analyze data, and continuously improve career services effectiveness
- Represent the institution at industry conferences and networking events
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
- Proven background in federal sector recruitment and hiring operations, OR
- Substantial private sector career development experience combined with familiarity with higher education environments
- Demonstrated success building employer partnerships and managing recruitment initiatives
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement comprehensive programs
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations and fostering inclusive career development
