As an Assistant/Associate/Clinical Professor of PA Studies, you will contribute to a respected PA program by combining teaching, mentorship, and clinical insight. The position is based in Stockton, California, and is a full-time, in-person role rather than remote, allowing for close collaboration with students, faculty, and clinical partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction within the PA Studies curriculum.
- Advise and mentor PA students throughout their academic and professional development.
- Participate in curriculum design, assessment, and ongoing program improvement.
- Draw on real-world clinical expertise to connect coursework to patient-centered practice.
- Support departmental, service, and scholarly activities consistent with the appointment rank.
Qualifications
- Completion of an ARC-PA-accredited Physician Assistant program, an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, or an MD/DO program.
- A master's degree in PA studies or a related discipline.
- Current NCCPA certification, or the equivalent discipline-specific national certification.
- Active California state licensure, or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state.
- At least one year of clinical practice experience as a PA, NP, or MD/DO.
Preferred: A Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) degree is considered an advantage among additional preferred qualifications.
