Director, Health Eco and Outcomes Research

Alkermes is hiring a Director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research to lead evidence generation initiatives in our sleep-wake disorders pipeline at our Waltham, Massachusetts headquarters. This is a full-time, strategic role where you'll shape how we demonstrate the clinical and economic value of our most innovative programs.

About the Role

As Director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) at Alkermes, you'll oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of robust health economic analyses and real-world evidence studies. You'll drive cross-functional collaboration between clinical development, commercial, medical affairs, and regulatory teams to build the evidence foundation our sleep-wake disorder products need to succeed in the market.

What You'll Do

• Design and oversee health economic models, budget impact analyses, and cost-effectiveness studies for pipeline programs
• Lead real-world evidence initiatives and outcomes research strategy to support market access and differentiation
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external research organizations to identify evidence gaps and execute research plans
• Communicate HEOR findings to payers, health systems, clinicians, and internal leadership through presentations and publications
• Build and mentor a team focused on generating market-access evidence for sleep-wake disorder treatments
• Ensure all analyses comply with industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and ethical research practices

What We're Looking For

• Advanced degree (PhD, MPH, or MBA) with 8+ years of health economics and outcomes research experience
• Proven expertise in health economic modeling, payer strategy, and outcomes research methodology
• Strong track record leading HEOR initiatives at pharmaceutical or biotech companies
• Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex analyses for diverse audiences
• Strategic thinker who can balance scientific rigor with business needs and timelines
• Experience with sleep-wake disorders, neurology, or psychiatry is a plus
