What You'll Do

• Design and execute scientific experiments and analyses to understand key drivers of business performance
• Build predictive models and optimization algorithms that inform strategic and operational decisions
• Collaborate across functions within the Stores organization and partner with other Amazon teams to apply your expertise
• Translate complex findings into clear insights for stakeholders at all levels
• Identify opportunities to evolve methodologies and scale solutions from local pilots to global programs
• Stay current with advancements in science and engineering relevant to retail and operations

What We're Looking For

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Physics, or related quantitative field
• Strong foundation in statistical analysis, modeling, and scientific methodology
• Experience with large datasets and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity about how systems work at scale
• Collaborative mindset with a track record of working effectively across diverse teams
