Applied AI Strategist, EMEA

Responsibilities

Our talent team is representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking an Applied AI Strategist to serve as their senior strategic voice with EMEA's most important enterprise customers. In this role, you will:

• Lead executive briefings for the most strategic EMEA accounts, engaging C-suite leaders across London, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, and other major cities to reframe how they think about AI adoption and adapt messaging to each market and culture
• Own strategic positioning for top-tier customers including executive narratives, value cases, strategic proposals, and success plans, working closely with sales and applied AI teams
• Create enablement content for executive-facing engagements across core sectors including financial services, insurance, telecommunications, manufacturing, automotive, life sciences, energy, public sector, retail, and luxury
• Transform the European regulatory landscape (EU AI Act, GDPR, DORA, data residency and sovereignty requirements) from perceived obstacles into competitive advantages
• Partner with sales and applied AI teams before and after engagements to align strategy, debrief on outcomes, and sustain deal momentum as a trusted advisor
• Travel regularly across EMEA (more than 50% of your time) for executive engagements, workshops, and strategic account meetings

What We're Looking For

This is not a hands-on engineering role. Our client needs someone who can walk into a boardroom, quickly read the competitive landscape and organizational dynamics, and help leaders see a compelling future. The ideal candidate will have:

• 15+ years in enterprise technology or management consulting, with significant time engaging executive-level stakeholders in core EMEA markets (UK&I, France, DACH, Nordics, Benelux, Southern Europe, Middle East, and Africa)
• Proven track record influencing C-suite leaders at large European enterprises, with the cultural range to adapt approaches across Paris, Munich, Milan, and other major cities
• Deep understanding of how large, regulated organizations evaluate, adopt, and scale technology
• Ability to connect AI capabilities to strategic business outcomes through clear value frameworks and business cases
• Experience producing executive-grade content that others can reuse: industry perspectives, strategic proposals, and success plans
• Strong perspectives on what makes enterprise transformation succeed or fail, earned through leading or advising major initiatives
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• Collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach to complex sales cycles
• English fluency required; additional major European language strongly preferred
• Genuine excitement about AI's potential to transform enterprise operations

Background as a CTO, Field CTO, consulting partner, or world-class senior technical seller in European markets is highly valued. What matters most is credibility with European enterprise decision-makers and understanding of procurement processes, regulatory requirements, and organizational dynamics specific to the region.

Pay

This is a London-based role with hybrid work expectations (approximately 25% office time when not traveling). The position requires substantial travel across EMEA.

Our client offers visa sponsorship support, though sponsorship success depends on role requirements and individual circumstances. They retain immigration counsel to assist with the process.

The role includes a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with relevant field of study demonstrated through coursework or professional background.
