Android Engineer

Printec seeks an Android Engineer for a full-time position based in Athens, Attica, Greece. This is your opportunity to design and develop mobile applications that serve real users, working with modern Android technologies in a collaborative engineering environment.

Role Overview

As an Android Engineer at Printec, you will own the development lifecycle of mobile applications—from initial architecture and design through implementation, testing, and deployment. You'll collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate business requirements into performant, user-friendly Android experiences. This role is ideal for developers who take pride in writing clean, maintainable code and want to make a direct impact on the products users depend on daily.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and implement Android applications using Java and/or Kotlin, following platform best practices and architectural patterns
• Build responsive user interfaces that work seamlessly across device sizes and Android versions
• Integrate with backend APIs and third-party services to deliver complete feature sets
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
• Debug performance issues, optimise battery usage, and improve app stability
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and mentor junior team members
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to refine features based on user feedback

Requirements

• Proven experience developing production Android applications
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, lifecycle management, and UI frameworks
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
• Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON data formats
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
• Fluent English communication skills
