AI Transformation Owner, Product & Design

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential DevSecOps organization seeking an AI Transformation Owner for their Product & Design function. In this role, you will shape and execute the AI strategy for your function, partnering directly with executive leadership to identify high-impact opportunities where AI can fundamentally transform operational workflows.

You'll manage the complete lifecycle of AI initiatives—from mapping current processes and identifying constraints to building solutions, driving adoption, and measuring outcomes. This is a hands-on product management role where the product is your organization's way of working.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Strategic Planning: Own the AI strategy for Product & Design, aligned with executive priorities. Map end-to-end workflows, identify 100x improvement opportunities, manage intake of AI requests, and prioritize initiatives based on measurable business outcomes.
• Hands-On Building: Build AI agents using no-code and low-code platforms. Author and iterate on skills files, configure MCP servers and tools, and maintain your function's fleet of agents with ongoing performance tracking and evaluation.
• Adoption & Change Management: Drive organizational adoption of AI solutions. Challenge teams to reimagine processes rather than simply automate existing ones. Create channels, rituals, and feedback loops that embed AI into daily workflows.
• Champion Network: Build and coordinate a network of AI Champions across sub-teams (5-10% time allocation). Run regular Champion syncs, host demos, and extend your reach beyond what you can deliver directly.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with a dedicated AI Engineer who provides technical depth and production-grade delivery. You bring business context and strategic prioritization; together you form the core transformation team.

What We're Looking For

Business & Strategic Skills:

• Deep operational knowledge of product and design functions—how work flows, where bottlenecks occur, and how processes connect across teams
• Proven strategic prioritization skills with ability to manage competing demands and make high-stakes decisions based on business outcomes
• Product management mindset: comfortable with intake management, backlog prioritization, iteration cycles, and adoption metrics
• Strong communication and influence skills to navigate "not yet" and "think bigger" conversations with credibility
• Cross-functional instincts that extend beyond functional boundaries to understand upstream and downstream dependencies
• Experience building and sustaining peer networks, communities of practice, or champion programs

Technical & Hands-On Capabilities:

• Comfort building with AI tools at the power-user level: configuring agents, writing skills files, connecting MCP servers, and troubleshooting issues (production coding skills not required)
• Willingness to rapidly learn no-code/low-code AI platforms, prompt engineering, and agent configuration
• Strong conceptual understanding of AI capabilities including summarization, classification, generation, automation, and agentic workflows
• Commitment to staying current as the AI landscape evolves; readiness to rebuild solutions when better approaches emerge
• Ability to map data flows (structured and unstructured) and identify optimal points for human-AI interaction

Pay
