About the Role
As an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician with Erie County, you'll deliver advanced pre-hospital emergency care to residents and visitors across our region. You'll work in dynamic, high-stakes environments where your clinical decisions and compassion directly save lives and improve patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Respond to emergency calls and provide advanced patient assessment and treatment in the field
- Operate emergency medical equipment and maintain vehicle systems in readiness
- Document patient encounters accurately and communicate findings clearly to hospital staff
- Coordinate seamlessly with paramedics, firefighters, and other emergency responders
- Follow County of Erie clinical protocols and maintain the highest standards of patient care
- Complete continuing education and maintain all required professional certifications
