About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization headquartered in Nantes, France, seeking an experienced Systems and Network Administrator to take ownership of their internal IT environment. This hands-on position supports approximately 150 employees across multiple European office locations, combining day-to-day IT operations with strategic improvement initiatives.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will operate with significant autonomy while guiding an IT apprentice and coordinating external service providers. This role offers genuine ownership over how corporate IT tools, infrastructure, and processes evolve within a growing technology company.

Responsibilities

IT Operations & User Support

• Ensure continuity and quality of internal IT services across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
• Manage and prioritize support requests, operational incidents, and escalations
• Define and monitor service levels and recurring operational priorities
• Support and mentor the IT apprentice in daily operations

Identity, Endpoint & Asset Management

• Administer Google Workspace, Active Directory, and corporate SaaS applications
• Manage complete user account lifecycles including groups, roles, and permissions
• Maintain and improve SSO, MFA, and role-based access management
• Oversee endpoint configuration, patching, encryption, antivirus, and device compliance
• Manage inventory and lifecycle of laptops, mobile devices, and IT equipment
• Enhance employee onboarding and offboarding workflows

Network & Infrastructure

• Operate and maintain internal network infrastructure across multi-site offices in France and Spain
• Administer network components including switching, routing, Wi-Fi, VLANs, firewalls, and access-control systems
• Manage internal infrastructure hosted primarily on Google Cloud Platform
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, LDAP/LDAPS, and related identity services
• Maintain secure remote access and connectivity between users, offices, and cloud environments
• Troubleshoot network, system, and connectivity incidents

Security & Compliance

• Maintain endpoint security, patching, encryption, and vulnerability remediation processes
• Monitor security status and compliance of employee devices
• Support internal security incident response and remediation plans
• Maintain security procedures and participate in continuity and recovery tests
• Contribute to customer security questionnaires, audits, and due-diligence requests

SaaS, Vendors & Projects

• Administer and maintain the portfolio of internal SaaS applications
• Manage IT contracts, licenses, renewals, and supplier relationships
• Negotiate with vendors and evaluate technical and commercial proposals
• Monitor IT spend and identify cost optimization opportunities
• Lead corporate IT projects and modernization initiatives
• Improve processes, automation, and documentation while building the IT roadmap with the CTO

What We're Looking For

Experience Requirements

• Ideally 4+ years of experience in corporate IT, systems, or infrastructure roles
• Demonstrated ownership of an internal IT environment
• Experience combining hands-on IT operations with infrastructure improvement projects
• Background working with external IT providers in multi-site environments
• Experience supporting employees locally and remotely across different countries

Essential Technical Skills

• Strong administration skills in Google Workspace and Microsoft Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, LDAP)
• Solid knowledge of identity and access management including SSO, SAML, MFA, and role-based access
• Strong Windows knowledge with operational proficiency in macOS and Linux
• Experience with endpoint management and security (patching, encryption, antivirus)
• Strong networking fundamentals: switching, routing, VLANs, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPN/ZTNA
• Knowledge of IT asset management and IT service management processes
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems, network, endpoint, and identity issues

• Background in SaaS, technology, or fast-growing organizations
• Familiarity with Ubiquiti/UniFi, ManageEngine Endpoint Central, ESET Protect, or similar tools
• Exposure to GCP, AWS, or Azure cloud platforms
• Knowledge of ZTNA solutions and email security standards (DKIM, DMARC, SPF)
• Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Google Apps Script, APIs)
• Experience with IT audits, due diligence, or security questionnaires
• Experience mentoring or coordinating junior IT team members

Pay

The client offers an annual gross salary range of €40,000 - €44,000. Additional benefits include five weeks paid leave plus at least 11 RTT days annually, flexible working hours with two remote days per week, meal vouchers (€8 per day, 50% employer-covered), sustainable mobility allowance up to €200 annually or 50% public transport reimbursement, choice of computing environment (MacOS, Windows, or Linux), comprehensive health insurance, and regular team events.
