Join Saint Joseph's University's Department of Marketing as a part-time adjunct instructor. We're seeking qualified professionals to bring real-world marketing expertise into our classroom, teaching one to two courses per semester to engaged business students at our United States location.
About This Position
Saint Joseph's University invites experienced marketing professionals to serve as adjunct faculty in our Department of Marketing within the Haub School of Business. This part-time, non-tenure-track appointment is offered on a semester-by-semester basis with no guarantee of consecutive appointments. Reappointment depends on university need, student enrollment, and successful teaching performance. Your compensation will reflect your educational credentials and relevant professional experience. Adjunct instructors may teach one to two courses per semester, delivering courses both online and in-person depending on departmental assignment. This position is available to candidates in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York (outside New York City), and Delaware.
Core Duties
- Teach assigned marketing courses with syllabi and structured instructional materials
- Facilitate student learning through the university's learning management system and in-person instruction
- Maintain one office hour per week to provide academic support and mentorship
- Submit grades and participate in program assessment activities
- Develop and deliver engaging content in areas such as digital and social media marketing, sports marketing, advertising, sales management, public relations, international marketing, and marketing analytics
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or closely related field
- Professional experience in marketing or a related specialty (preference given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in general marketing, digital marketing, sports marketing, entertainment marketing, sales management, advertising, or public relations)
- Ability to stand and speak for extended periods during classroom instruction
- Willingness to engage with both online and in-person teaching modalities
