You will deliver culturally responsive casework for Aboriginal clients within the child, youth and family field, combining careful trauma-informed practice with guidance for people engaged in National Redress Scheme processes. The role attracts a salary of $90,000 together with salary packaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver trauma-informed case management that upholds cultural safety for Aboriginal clients and their families
• Support clients navigating National Redress Scheme related matters with patience, clarity and respect
• Build, review and adjust practical case plans that prioritise wellbeing, stability and client-defined goals
• Connect people with appropriate services and community supports across Waterloo, the Eastern Suburbs and the broader Sydney Region
• Maintain accurate, timely case records and share information appropriately within professional boundaries
• Collaborate with colleagues, community organisations and partner agencies to strengthen outcomes for clients

Qualifications

• Practical experience in casework, case management or community support, ideally within child, youth and family services
• Sound understanding of trauma-informed methods and culturally safe practice with Aboriginal people
• Strong interpersonal, advocacy and communication skills suited to sensitive client circumstances
• Ability to manage a caseload, meet documentation standards and contribute reliably within a team
• A relevant qualification in community services, social work or a related discipline is advantageous
• Right to work in Australia and a genuine commitment to supporting Aboriginal clients through complex redress and recovery pathways
