Position Summary

As the A330 Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor based with Thales in Brize Norton, you will take ownership of theoretical knowledge programmes for this aircraft type. You will combine expert delivery of classroom and computer-based instruction with leadership of other instructors, ensuring every course remains current, compliant and effective. This full-time A330 Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor position near Brize Norton offers the chance to shape training quality and help pilots build the solid foundation of knowledge required for next-generation operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and continuously improve theoretical knowledge instruction on A330 aircraft systems, performance, limitations and procedures.
• Lead, coach and quality-assure a team of theoretical knowledge instructors to achieve consistent teaching standards.
• Design, review and update lesson plans, courseware and assessment materials so they reflect the latest A330 configuration and operational data.
• Assess student progress through formal examinations and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback that drives improvement.
• Ensure every element of the training syllabus meets relevant aviation authority requirements and internal quality standards.
• Coordinate training schedules, classroom resources and instructor allocation at the Brize Norton site.
• Maintain personal subject-matter expertise and instructional currency through ongoing professional development.

What You Bring

• Substantial experience delivering theoretical knowledge instruction for large multi-engine jet aircraft, ideally including the A330.
• Recognised instructional qualifications that authorise delivery of advanced pilot theory subjects.
• Deep technical understanding of A330 systems, flight performance and standard operating procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop other instructors while maintaining high classroom standards.
• Excellent presentation, communication and facilitation skills tailored to professional adult learners.
• Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks that govern commercial pilot theoretical training.
