Berkeley County School District is hiring a JV Assistant Boys Volleyball Coach (220) for the 2026-2027 season, a temporary, full-time athletic coaching role based at Hanahan High School in the United States. Step onto the court and help shape the next generation of student-athletes.
About the Role
This is a temporary employee position within the district's athletics program, working alongside the head coach to develop the junior varsity boys volleyball team. As JV Assistant Boys Volleyball Coach, you will support practices, game-day operations, and the athletic and personal growth of players at Hanahan High School. This is an on-site role; remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and leading practices, drills, and skill development sessions
- Support player conditioning, technique, and game strategy throughout the JV boys volleyball season
- Help supervise athletes during practices, matches, and team-related activities
- Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and academic accountability among student-athletes
- Follow Berkeley County School District and league policies, procedures, and safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
- Five years of coaching experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, rules, and coaching methods
- Ability to mentor and motivate high school student-athletes in a positive team environment
- Reliable availability for practices and scheduled matches during the 2026-2027 season
