About the Role
In this dual-track position based in Miami, Miami-Dade County, you will divide your time roughly evenly between two complementary commitments: directing the cardiovascular fellowship program and maintaining an active clinical practice in general cardiology. Approximately half of your effort supports your duties as Fellowship Program Director, while the remaining half is devoted to hands-on patient care in general cardiology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and administer the cardiovascular fellowship program that trains physicians pursuing careers in general cardiology
- Guide curriculum, training, and the overall educational experience for cardiology fellows
- Provide mentorship and academic support to fellows throughout their training
- Maintain a clinical general cardiology practice, delivering direct patient care
- Manage day-to-day program operations, compliance, and the administrative responsibilities tied to the directorship
Qualifications
- Physician with specialized training and expertise in cardiovascular disease and general cardiology
- Demonstrated leadership, teaching, and mentorship strengths well suited to a program director role
- Commitment to academic medicine, graduate medical education, and clinical excellence
- Qualifications consistent with an Associate Professor of Clinical appointment in cardiovascular medicine
