The Opportunity

Join CCS Disability Action as a Community Support Coordinator within our Children and Family/Whanau Team. Our mission is to ensure that every disabled person or whānau hauā is integrated into their community and family life. As the largest pan-disability support and advocacy organization in New Zealand, we have been at the forefront of service provision since 1935.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to disabled children and their families/whānau
• Facilitate community integration activities for participants
• Advocate on behalf of participants with relevant agencies and organizations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized support plans

What You Bring

• A strong passion for supporting disabled individuals and their families/whānau
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills
• Demonstrated experience in community-based support roles or similar environments
• A commitment to cultural sensitivity and understanding of Māori values and principles
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
