Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs and clinical status, and promptly escalate changes across emergency and medicine settings.
• Administer medications, treatments and ordered interventions accurately while following established protocols for both departments.

Qualifications

• Current registration in good standing as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and sound judgment suitable for acute care involving both emergency and medicine patient populations.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking and prioritisation skills for managing mixed acuity caseloads.
• Excellent verbal and written communication along with proven ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Current Basic Life Support certification and readiness to function confidently in a busy hospital environment in Fergus, ON.
• Flexibility to move between emergency and medicine activities while upholding all professional and organisational standards.
