Role Overview

In the Senior Manager, Credit Risk position at Welab, you will be responsible for leading the credit risk function to protect the organisation's financial health. What You'll Do

• Establish and continuously enhance credit risk frameworks, guidelines and methodologies to address emerging challenges.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of new and existing credit exposures, recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures.
• Monitor overall credit quality across various portfolios, preparing detailed reports and dashboards for executive review.
• Coordinate with internal departments on risk-related matters, facilitating informed discussions during credit committees.
• Drive improvements in risk models and tools, incorporating best practices and regulatory changes applicable in Hong Kong.
• Mentor team members, fostering skill development and high performance standards within the credit risk unit.
• Engage with external auditors and regulators as needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of credit risk controls.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive hands-on experience as a senior credit risk professional, ideally gained in banking environments.
• Deep understanding of credit assessment techniques, including qualitative and quantitative analysis methods.
• Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, manage projects and influence outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in risk analysis software and data visualisation tools commonly used in the industry.
• University degree or higher in a relevant discipline such as finance, mathematics, statistics or business administration.
• Solid knowledge of Hong Kong banking regulations and credit risk principles.
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and a commitment to ethical decision-making.
