About the Role

As a VAPT Engineer at Vidizmo in Karachi, Sindh, you will plan and execute assessments that uncover security weaknesses before adversaries can exploit them. You will work across application, network, and system layers, turn findings into clear remediation guidance, and help raise security maturity through disciplined testing and reporting. Responsibilities

• Plan and run vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on web applications, APIs, networks, and related infrastructure
• Identify, validate, and prioritise security findings according to severity and business risk
• Prepare clear technical reports and executive summaries with practical remediation recommendations
• Re-test remediations to confirm fixes and reduce residual risk
• Use industry-standard tools and manual techniques to achieve thorough coverage beyond automated scans alone
• Stay current on common attack patterns, CVEs, and assessment methodologies relevant to a VAPT Engineer
• Coordinate with development, operations, and security peers during scoping, testing windows, and debriefs

What We're Looking For

• Solid grounding in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing concepts for applications and infrastructure
• Practical experience with common VAPT tooling (for example scanners, proxy tools, and exploit frameworks) and strong manual testing judgement
• Familiarity with OWASP-style application risks, network attack surfaces, and secure configuration basics
• Clear written communication skills for findings, evidence, and remediation steps
• Ability to prioritise work, document reproducibly, and follow ethical testing boundaries
• Relevant degree, certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience as a VAPT Engineer or in a closely related security testing role
