Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Support safe transfers, ambulation, repositioning, and turn schedules that help maintain circulation and comfort
• Watch for status changes such as increased discomfort or unusual symptoms and notify the nurse right away
• Distribute meals, help with feeding when required, and note intake and output details accurately
• Keep patient areas tidy, stock basic supplies, and follow infection-prevention steps on the unit
• Complete timely care notes and take part in brief hand-off or team conversations as directed

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent educational background
• State-recognized nurse aide training or active certification that permits work in South Dakota
• Current basic life support credentials
• Physical stamina for standing, bending, and safely lifting or moving patients across a full shift
• Clear verbal and written communication suited to patients, families, and clinical teammates
• Empathy and calm patience when supporting individuals with cardiac needs
