Audit Manager, Consumer Banking Audit

OCBC seeks an experienced Audit Manager to lead consumer banking audit initiatives at our OCBC Malaysia office, located in Wisma Lee Rubber. This full-time position offers the opportunity to shape audit strategy and ensure robust compliance across our consumer banking operations.

What This Role Involves

As Audit Manager for Consumer Banking Audit at OCBC Malaysia, you will direct audit programmes and lead a team focused on identifying and mitigating financial and operational risks across our consumer banking portfolio. You'll work directly with senior stakeholders to enhance control frameworks, develop audit methodologies, and ensure regulatory adherence across consumer banking divisions.

What You'll Do

• Plan, scope, and supervise consumer banking audit engagements, setting priorities based on risk assessment
• Lead audit teams through examination of lending processes, deposit operations, retail channels, and consumer protection compliance
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, governance structures, and risk management practices
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, recommendations, and management action plans
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and track remediation of identified issues
• Liaise with banking regulators, compliance teams, and business units to maintain audit independence and relevance
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit standards and methodologies

Who We're Looking For

• Professional qualification in accounting (CA, ACCA, or equivalent) with several years' auditing experience
• Proven experience in banking or financial services audit, preferably within consumer banking or retail operations
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and internal control frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of presenting to senior management
• Demonstrated team leadership, analytical capability, and attention to detail
• Ability to think strategically whilst managing tactical audit execution
