Continental is seeking a meticulous Temporary Document Controller to join our manufacturing operations in Grimsby, England for a fixed-term contract lasting 12 months. About the Role

As a Document Controller at our Grimsby facility, you will be responsible for the management, organisation, and control of technical and administrative documents within the manufacturing environment. You'll ensure all documentation is accurate, properly filed, and readily accessible to relevant team members, whilst maintaining strict control over document versions and revisions.

What You'll Do

  • Receive, log, and register all incoming and outgoing documents according to established procedures
  • Maintain comprehensive filing systems using both electronic databases and physical storage
  • Issue, distribute, and track documents to appropriate departments and personnel
  • Monitor document expiry dates and arrange timely renewals where required
  • Produce and update documentation indexes and registers
  • Process document amendments and oversee the withdrawal of superseded versions
  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with various departments to clarify document requirements and delivery needs
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as requested

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller, administrative assistant, or similar role
  • Strong organisational and attention-to-detail skills
  • Proficiency with document management systems and MS Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work methodically and manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with quality management and compliance standards (ISO experience beneficial)
  • Reliability and discretion when handling sensitive documentation
