The Opportunity

Continental is seeking an Application Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of software and systems for advanced suspension technologies. You'll work within a collaborative engineering team to transform innovative concepts into production-ready solutions that impact millions of vehicles worldwide. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications for dynamic suspension systems, ensuring robust performance across diverse driving conditions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—hardware engineers, firmware specialists, and product managers—to translate requirements into scalable solutions
• Conduct testing, validation, and performance optimisation of suspension control algorithms and software modules
• Troubleshoot technical issues, analyse system behaviour, and implement corrective actions
• Contribute to technical documentation, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, from concept through production deployment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Proficiency in C, C++, or other systems-level programming languages
• Solid understanding of automotive software development practices and embedded systems
• Experience with real-time systems, control algorithms, or vehicle dynamics is valued
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Fluency in English; German language skills are advantageous
