HR AI/ML Engineer II

AG is hiring an HR AI/ML Engineer II for a full-time position in Herndon Area, VA. We're looking for an experienced machine learning engineer to develop AI-powered solutions that drive innovation in human resources and talent management.

What This Role Involves

In this HR AI/ML Engineer II role based in Herndon Area, VA, you'll take ownership of machine learning projects that directly impact talent acquisition, employee retention, and workforce analytics. You'll partner with HR leaders and product teams to translate business challenges into intelligent systems, working across the entire ML lifecycle from problem definition through production deployment and monitoring.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement machine learning models for recruitment optimization, candidate matching, and talent identification
• Develop scalable data pipelines to process and analyze human resources information across systems
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, validate assumptions, and deliver AI solutions that solve real HR problems
• Apply responsible AI principles to ensure fairness, transparency, and regulatory compliance in all deployed systems
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and feedback loops to maintain model performance and accuracy in production
• Share knowledge through documentation, code reviews, and mentoring of team members

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of professional experience developing and deploying machine learning systems
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with hands-on experience in ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Solid grasp of machine learning fundamentals, feature engineering, model evaluation, and best practices
• Experience with HR technology, workforce analytics, or talent systems preferred
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Dedication to building fair, ethical AI systems with consideration for bias mitigation
