Join Atomicsemi as a full-time Machinist in Lockhart, where you'll operate precision CNC equipment that manufactures components for cutting-edge semiconductor production machinery. Your technical expertise in machine operation, tooling, and quality control directly determines production capacity and delivery schedules.

What This Role Involves

You'll operate advanced CNC machining centers and dual-spindle lathes, producing metal components for semiconductor equipment. This hands-on production role requires skill in process optimization, tool selection, and fixturing strategy. Your work maintains tolerances as tight as ±0.005 inches on stainless steel and aluminum, with direct responsibility for output rate and part quality.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operate Haas five-axis VMCs and dual-spindle Y-axis lathes, from setup through first-article inspection
• Perform in-process gauging and dimensional verification to ensure parts meet print specifications
• Load tools using precision presetting equipment and manage cutting-tool inventory
• Maintain material queues and pallet pools to enable unattended machine cycles
• Read and inspect to GD&T specifications on technical prints
• Independently adjust tool offsets and machine parameters to hold tolerances

Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining, including minimum 1 year on five-axis equipment
• Proficiency with Haas control systems (or equivalent Fanuc platforms)
• Ability to read GD&T and inspect work to specification
• Capability to own tool offsets and machine edits independently
• Preferred: CAM programming experience (Mastercam, Fusion 360, HSMWorks), Renishaw probing, bar-fed lathe, or mill-turn background
