Founding Ecommerce Lead – New Brand

Americantall is launching a new direct-to-consumer apparel brand in Spring 2027, and we're hiring a Founding Ecommerce Lead to join us in Mississauga as a full-time employee. This is an opportunity to shape the digital presence of a startup from inception, leading our online operations as we establish ourselves in a market segment we're passionate about disrupting.

About the Role

As our Founding Ecommerce Lead based in Mississauga, you'll take ownership of building and scaling our online storefront from launch through growth. You'll drive digital revenue, architect the customer experience, and serve as a core decision-maker in a lean founding team. Working alongside leaders in product, design, marketing, and engineering, you'll move quickly from strategy to execution, solving real problems and creating meaningful impact on a daily basis. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, pre-launch environment where your influence extends across how customers discover, browse, and purchase from our brand.

Core Duties

• Oversee daily website performance, sales analytics, and customer behavior metrics to identify optimization opportunities
• Configure, test, and integrate Shopify apps and tools to enhance the shopping experience and operational efficiency
• Design and refine the end-to-end customer journey, from product discovery through checkout and beyond
• Develop product descriptions, category pages, and merchandising copy that convert browsers into buyers
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting the website or customer transactions
• Plan and execute product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns
• Collaborate across teams to spot and act on new channels, features, or tactics for growth

What You Bring

• Proven experience managing ecommerce operations or a similar role driving online sales and customer engagement
• Hands-on expertise with Shopify or comparable ecommerce platforms
• Comfort moving between strategic planning and tactical execution
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with conversion optimization and customer journey mapping
• Ability to write clear, persuasive product and marketing copy
• Willingness to embrace ambiguity, move fast, and take ownership in a startup environment
• Passion for retail, brand building, and creating exceptional customer experiences
