Java Developer

Printec seeks a talented Java Developer to join our Sofia-based team. This is a hands-on full-time position for a skilled software engineer ready to build robust, scalable applications in a collaborative environment.

What This Role Involves

As a Java Developer at Printec in Sofia, you'll design and implement high-quality software solutions using modern Java technologies. This role bridges backend engineering and product development, allowing you to take ownership of features from architecture through deployment. You'll work on applications that impact real users, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable code.

Core Duties

• Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications across the full software stack
• Write clean, well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
• Debug complex issues and optimise application performance
• Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, and fellow developers to deliver features on schedule
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing within the team

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java, with solid understanding of object-oriented design principles
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Ability to write unit tests and understand testing best practices
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Experience with Spring Framework, Maven, or similar tools is a plus
