About the Role
As Group Services – Lead, Buyer, you will take ownership of procurement strategy and execution within our group services division. You'll lead negotiations with key suppliers, manage complex procurement contracts, and optimise cost structures whilst maintaining the quality standards Porsche is known for worldwide. This is a senior buying role where your strategic vision and leadership will directly impact our operational efficiency and business performance.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate agreements with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favourable commercial terms
- Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance on sourcing strategy, supplier performance management, and best practices
- Analyse market trends and cost drivers to recommend procurement strategies that enhance value and reduce risk
- Ensure all supplier relationships meet our quality, delivery, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and quality teams to align procurement with broader business objectives
- Monitor supplier performance, conduct audits, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage procurement budgets and track savings realisation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior buyer or procurement leadership role, ideally within automotive, manufacturing, or group services environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong commercial acumen with expertise in contract negotiation and supplier management
- Knowledge of supply chain best practices, quality standards, and compliance frameworks
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrix organisation and manage multiple priorities
