About the Role
As a Plant Operator with Airgas in Augusta, you'll be at the heart of our gas production facility, monitoring equipment, managing processes, and ensuring quality standards are met every single day. You're responsible for keeping our plant running safely and efficiently—from startup through shutdown—while maintaining the precision this work demands.
What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor plant equipment and control systems for dry-ice and industrial gas production
- Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Track production metrics, quality parameters, and safety compliance throughout your shift
- Coordinate with team members to manage inventory, filling operations, and product distribution
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of accident-free operations
- Document production logs and report any concerns to your supervisor
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating industrial plant equipment or willingness to be trained
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Strong safety mindset and commitment to following procedures
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a team
- Flexibility with shift schedules when needed
