Commercial Product Lead (Insurance)

PolicyStreet is hiring a Commercial Product Lead (Insurance) in Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This full-time role sits at the heart of our insurance product strategy, combining market insight with commercial acumen to shape how we serve Malaysia's insurance customers.

About the Role

You'll lead the commercial strategy and product direction of PolicyStreet's insurance offerings. This position bridges product development, market analysis, and business performance, allowing you to influence both what we build and how we position it in the market. You'll work across engineering, design, and commercial teams to build insurance products that customers want and the business needs to grow in Malaysia's evolving insurance sector.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and own the product strategy for insurance solutions, aligning customer value with commercial goals
• Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to uncover growth opportunities in Malaysia's insurance landscape
• Translate commercial insights into product roadmaps and prioritisation decisions with engineering and design partners
• Develop pricing strategies, product positioning, and launch plans for new insurance products and features
• Track product performance through KPIs and customer metrics, driving continuous improvement in commercial outcomes
• Synthesise customer feedback and market signals to validate ideas and guide product direction
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and customers to inform strategy and support adoption
• Enable the sales and marketing teams with product expertise and market insights that accelerate customer acquisition

Qualifications

• Proven experience in product management, product strategy, or commercial leadership in financial services, insurance, or fintech
• Deep knowledge of Malaysia's insurance market, regulatory framework, and customer behaviour
• Demonstrated ability to balance customer needs with commercial and operational constraints
• Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
• Comfortable working with data; able to extract insights and drive decisions using analytics
• Fluent English communication, both written and spoken
• Track record of successful product launches or go-to-market execution
