PolicyStreet is seeking a Business Development Manager (Mandarin Speaker) to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This full-time role offers the opportunity to drive commercial growth and expand market presence through strategic business partnerships and client development initiatives.
Position Summary
As a Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities that accelerate revenue growth for PolicyStreet. Your fluency in Mandarin will be a significant asset in engaging with our expanding client base and business partners across the region. You will combine market insight, relationship-building expertise, and commercial acumen to open new revenue channels and deepen existing partnerships while supporting the company's strategic objectives.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with company growth objectives
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market share and revenue
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic planning
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with prospective and existing business partners
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction
- Monitor key performance indicators and report on business development activities
- Leverage Mandarin language proficiency to engage effectively with Chinese-speaking prospects and partners
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or similar commercial roles
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken); proficiency in English required
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify and close new business opportunities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Self-motivated and results-driven professional mindset
- Experience building and nurturing long-term business relationships
- Knowledge of the Malaysian business environment is advantageous
