Position Summary
As a Java Developer at PLANET S.A., you'll design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications that deliver value to our users. You'll work with modern Java frameworks and cloud-native technologies, solving complex technical challenges whilst contributing to systems that scale reliably and perform efficiently. This role offers significant technical growth and the chance to shape architecture decisions within a skilled engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy microservices using Java and contemporary frameworks
- Design service architecture and implement scalable, efficient solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust code
- Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimise application performance
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and tooling
Who We're Looking For
- Solid experience with Java and object-oriented programming principles
- Proven track record designing or maintaining microservices architectures
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies and orchestration platforms
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems concepts
- Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within team settings
