About the Role

As our Legal Counsel focused on EU employment law and platform workers, you will provide strategic legal guidance on one of the most dynamic and heavily regulated areas in modern work. Platform worker classification, labour compliance, and regulatory risk management sit at the heart of what you'll do. You'll work directly with cross-functional teams to navigate complex employment frameworks that govern how we operate across the European Union, with particular depth in the specifics facing platform-based service models in delivery and logistics.

Core Duties

• Advise on classification and employment status of platform workers under EU labour law frameworks
• Review and draft employment contracts, terms, and policies to ensure compliance with regional and EU-wide regulations
• Assess legal risks associated with platform worker protections, social security obligations, and collective agreements
• Monitor regulatory changes across EU member states and adapt company practices accordingly
• Liaise with business units, HR, and external counsel to implement compliant platform worker programmes
• Support dispute resolution and regulatory enquiries relating to employment classification

Who We're Looking For

• Qualified lawyer with 5+ years' experience in EU employment law, preferably including gig economy or platform work matters
• Deep knowledge of EU labour standards, directive compliance, and member state employment regimes
• Demonstrated expertise in platform worker classification and regulatory compliance
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to translate complex legal concepts for business stakeholders
• Fluent English; additional EU language skills are valuable
• Self-directed, pragmatic problem-solver comfortable working in fast-moving, regulated environments
