Reward & Performance Manager

The Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Reward & Performance Manager to lead and develop our reward strategy and performance management initiatives. This role provides a unique chance to shape how we recognise, incentivise and support our workforce across the organisation. You'll take responsibility for designing and implementing programmes that strengthen employee engagement, support business objectives, and foster a high-performance culture. This position sits at the heart of our HR operations in Reading, offering genuine influence over how we attract, motivate and retain talent.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the design, implementation and administration of competitive reward programmes aligned with organisational strategy
• Manage performance management frameworks and processes that drive accountability and professional development
• Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure compensation structures remain competitive and equitable
• Develop and communicate reward policies that support talent attraction and retention
• Collaborate with business leaders and HR colleagues to understand organisational needs and deliver tailored solutions
• Analyse reward data and provide strategic insights to inform senior management decisions
• Ensure all practices comply with current employment legislation and industry best practice

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a Reward Manager or equivalent senior HR role
• Strong expertise in reward strategy, compensation structures and benefits administration
• Demonstrated experience designing and managing performance management systems
• Excellent analytical capabilities and problem-solving approach
• Proficiency with HR systems and workforce data analysis
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to all audiences
• CIPD qualification or equivalent professional HR experience
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build effective working relationships across organisational levels
