National Mathematics Consultant

Cengage Group is hiring a National Mathematics Consultant for a full-time position in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County. In this on-site role, you'll help shape mathematics education by providing strategic guidance on curriculum development, pedagogical innovation, and educational best practices across our learning solutions.

What This Role Involves

As a National Mathematics Consultant, you will serve as a strategic advisor on mathematics education initiatives at Cengage Group. This position bridges the gap between educational expertise and content development, ensuring that our mathematics programs align with current pedagogical research, state and national standards, and the real needs of educators and learners. You'll work at the intersection of curriculum design, instruction, and assessment to influence how students engage with mathematics across the country.

What You'll Do

• Advise on the development and refinement of mathematics curriculum and learning content to meet evolving educational standards and learner needs
• Collaborate with content teams, instructional designers, and subject-matter experts to ensure mathematical accuracy, clarity, and pedagogical effectiveness
• Conduct research and analysis on mathematics education trends, teaching methodologies, and student learning outcomes
• Provide consultation on assessment strategies, learning objectives, and instructional approaches that foster deeper mathematical understanding
• Engage with educators, school districts, and educational stakeholders to gather insights and validate our solutions
• Contribute to the strategic direction of mathematics education initiatives within Cengage Group

What You Bring

• Master's degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field
• Proven expertise in mathematics education, curriculum development, or teaching at secondary or higher education level
• Strong understanding of current mathematics standards, pedagogical frameworks, and evidence-based teaching practices
• Experience consulting with schools, districts, or educational organizations
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence strategic decisions
