Designer, Women’s Snow, Outerwear, & Sweaters

Join Vuori, Inc as a Designer, Women's Snow, Outerwear, & Sweaters at our Carlsbad, CA headquarters. This full-time position focuses on creating innovative cold-weather apparel and layering pieces for women who demand both performance and style.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a talented designer to lead the creative direction and execution of our women's snow and outerwear collection, alongside sweater and layering pieces. You'll shape the aesthetic and functionality of products worn in demanding conditions, translating market insights and brand vision into compelling designs that resonate with our community.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop concept sketches, technical drawings, and detailed design specifications for women's snow jackets, outerwear, and sweater products
• Research seasonal trends, fabric innovations, and performance technologies relevant to cold-weather apparel
• Collaborate with product development, engineering, and merchandising teams to bring designs from concept through production
• Present design concepts and strategic rationale to internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback and iterating solutions
• Source materials and trims, evaluating performance and aesthetic qualities for snow and winter wear applications
• Participate in fittings, fit reviews, and quality assessments to ensure design intent is achieved in finished products

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in apparel design with a portfolio demonstrating outerwear, snow wear, or performance clothing design
• Strong proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, or similar industry-standard tools
• Solid understanding of garment construction, material properties, and performance requirements for cold-weather products
• Excellent sketching and visualization skills, both digital and hand-drawn
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and communicate design thinking clearly
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering polished, market-ready designs
