Maintenance Engineer (m/w/d) – Automation & Instandhaltung

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential logistics organization operating a state-of-the-art automated fulfillment operation in Falkensee, Brandenburg. As a Maintenance Engineer specializing in Automation & Maintenance, you will work with modern intralogistics, conveyor technology, and automation systems from leading manufacturers including Apollo, Qimarox, and Regal Rexnord.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical failures in technical systems, working closely with operational teams to minimize downtime
• Vendor collaboration: Partner directly with equipment suppliers to resolve complex technical issues
• Root cause analysis: Investigate recurring failures, implement permanent solutions, and drive sustainable technical improvements
• Preventive maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance programs to ensure maximum system availability and performance
• Continuous improvement: Identify, propose, and implement optimization projects to enhance system efficiency and reliability

What We're Looking For

• Completed technical apprenticeship, Meister or Techniker certification, and/or Bachelor's/Master's degree in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or similar)
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in technical maintenance or a maintenance engineering role
• Practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, plus experience with automated conveyor systems, material handling equipment, or intralogistics installations
• Familiarity with CMMS software tools and PLC-based control systems
• Strong communication skills in both German and English (fluent)
• Self-directed work style with initiative and goal-oriented problem-solving abilities
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration skills
