Lead Bischofsheim (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing e-commerce organization in the fresh food logistics sector. Our client operates a high-volume distribution center in Bischofsheim bei Frankfurt and is seeking an experienced operations leader to manage shift operations and drive team performance in either inbound or outbound logistics.

In this role, you will oversee an entire shift, leading a substantial team to ensure thousands of customers receive their orders with precision and quality. This is a hands-on leadership position in a dynamic, data-driven environment where operational excellence and customer satisfaction are paramount.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage shift operations for teams of up to 50 employees in warehouse inbound or outbound processes
• Plan shift schedules, allocate resources, and optimize workforce capacity to meet delivery deadlines
• Oversee structured onboarding of new team members and collaborate with area managers on employee development
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols, work procedures, and compliance standards throughout operations
• Create, analyze, and act on operational KPIs to drive continuous improvement
• Manage delivery slot availability and capacity planning to maximize throughput
• Coordinate closely with customer service teams to resolve order issues and manage reorders efficiently
• Work a 3-shift rotation system (Monday to Saturday, 5-day work week, shifts between 00:00 and 22:00)

What We're Looking For

• Completed vocational training in logistics, retail, or hospitality (e.g., warehouse specialist, retail management) or equivalent operational experience in production or logistics environments
• Proven experience in direct or operational leadership of teams with at least 30 people
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to work with operational metrics, create reports, and interpret performance data
• Excellent communication skills, high stress tolerance, and a proactive, well-organized approach to problem-solving
• Willingness to work in a 3-shift system including early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays
• Good command of German and fluent English, both written and spoken; additional languages (Russian, Romanian) are advantageous
• Hands-on leadership style with ability to be present on the floor and actively support team development
