Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce logistics organization in Garching bei München that is seeking a Quality Specialist for their fresh produce department. In this role, you will be the critical control point ensuring only the highest-quality fruits and vegetables reach customers.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Conducting quality inspections of incoming and existing stock of fruits and vegetables, checking for freshness, appearance, and taste
• Managing ripeness levels and storage locations while ensuring strict adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles
• Documenting inspection results accurately and maintaining complete traceability of products
• Selecting the best products for sale and customer delivery
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring corrective measures to prevent quality deviations
• Handling customer complaints regarding product quality in coordination with operations and customer service teams

What We're Looking For

Our client values practical expertise and a keen eye for quality. The ideal candidate brings:

• Hands-on experience working with fruits and vegetables, ideally from retail, wholesale, or hospitality environments
• Excellent judgment regarding product quality, freshness, and ripeness stages
• Willingness to work in cold storage environments (temperatures down to 3°C)
• Flexibility to work shifts in a rotating schedule, Monday through Sunday
• Good German or English language skills for team communication and documentation
• A passion for fresh produce – career changers with the right eye for quality are welcome
