Senior Marketing Specialist (w/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential software organization seeking a Senior Marketing Specialist to join their Hamburg-based team. This role sits at the intersection of demand generation, content strategy, and campaign execution within a B2B technology environment. You'll own integrated marketing programs that drive qualified leads, strengthen market presence, and support international business growth across digital and offline channels.

Working closely with Product Management, Sales, and internal stakeholders, you'll develop marketing initiatives aligned with product portfolio and go-to-market strategies. This position requires residency in Germany, excellent German and English language skills, and occasional travel to trade fairs, conferences, and customer events.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and measure integrated B2B marketing campaigns across multiple channels to generate qualified leads and support revenue goals
• Develop account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns and activities that strengthen brand awareness and drive business growth
• Manage marketing campaigns end-to-end, including target audience definition, timelines, approvals, implementation, and performance tracking
• Collaborate with communications colleagues to create website content, articles, newsletters, case studies, presentations, and sales enablement materials
• Translate complex software products and technical concepts into clear, compelling marketing messages
• Execute targeted marketing activities for specific industries, customer segments, products, and business priorities
• Partner with Sales and Business Development on lead generation, target account strategies, and customer acquisition initiatives
• Coordinate with Product Management and service teams regarding product developments, customer use cases, and market requirements
• Plan and coordinate trade fairs, conferences, webinars, customer events, and related communication activities
• Manage external agencies and service providers, including briefing, quality assurance, and timeline oversight
• Monitor marketing performance, prepare KPI-based reports, and deliver improvement recommendations
• Lead lead management, lead nurturing, and marketing automation processes
• Conduct market, competitor, and target audience research while continuously improving marketing processes and reporting structures

What We're Looking For

• At least five years of professional experience in B2B marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, campaign management, or product marketing (this is not an entry-level position)
• Proven track record independently planning, implementing, and evaluating integrated marketing campaigns
• Understanding of account-based marketing program structure and execution
• Demonstrated experience with marketing activities that support lead generation, customer acquisition, and business growth
• Strong content development and copywriting abilities, including translating complex technical topics into accessible language
• Experience marketing software products, IT solutions, or consulting services, ideally in an international B2B environment
• Industry experience in Energy, Chemicals, logistics, or industrial software is advantageous
• Strong understanding of websites, email marketing, social media, online campaigns, and marketing automation platforms
• Experience developing customer-focused content, campaign materials, and sales enablement resources
• Proven collaboration with Sales and Business Development on lead generation and growth initiatives
• Ability to translate business priorities, market requirements, and customer needs into effective marketing strategies
• Experience with marketing analytics, campaign performance measurement, and KPI-based reporting
• Proficiency working with CRM systems, content management platforms, email marketing tools, and analytics systems
• Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Structured, reliable, results-oriented approach with high ownership and attention to detail
• Very good German and English language skills (written and spoken)
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany and internationally
• Relevant degree or comparable qualification

Pay

Our client has indicated a salary range of €70,000 to €90,000 gross per year for this full-time position, based on relevant professional experience, qualifications, and competencies. The role may also include a variable compensation component based on clearly defined individual and company-related objectives, with details shared during the recruitment process.
