Social Media Manager (m/w/d) für Instagram & TikTok

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential nutrition brand in Hamburg that is preparing for an upcoming product launch. Our talent team is searching for an experienced Social Media Manager to own Instagram and TikTok strategy from the ground up. This is a hands-on role where you'll be both strategist and creator—developing content plans, appearing on camera, and building community around a brand that values substance over hype.

You'll work closely with the founding team and growth leadership in their Hamburg studio, with full access to products and creative resources. This role reports to the Head of Growth and requires someone who understands how to turn social channels into revenue-driving assets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute content strategy and editorial calendars for Instagram and TikTok from concept through publication
• Serve as on-camera talent and the voice of the brand across social platforms
• Monitor trends, formats, and creators in the fitness and supplements space; rapidly adapt insights into original content
• Manage community engagement including comments, direct messages, and product-related questions
• Own and report on key performance indicators; use data to inform content decisions and format testing
• Coordinate with creators, design team, and performance marketing on collaborations, reposts, and advertising assets
• Shoot and edit video content independently

What We're Looking For

• 3–4+ years of social media experience, including demonstrable track record building a consumer or FMCG brand organically with strong community sentiment
• Proven ability to translate brand identity into social-first content that builds belonging and drives engagement
• Strong aesthetic sense and understanding of what makes a brand feel current versus outdated
• Experience monetizing social channels—you've turned accounts into powerful brand assets that drive both reach and revenue
• Portfolio showing measurable channel growth with supporting metrics
• Video-native skills: comfortable shooting, editing, and appearing on camera
• Personal connection to training and supplements; you are the target audience
• Fluent German and strong English required
• Preferred: background with supplement, sports nutrition, or fitness brands; familiarity with health claims regulations for dietary supplements

You'll be asked to submit your CV, work samples (including personal brand content if applicable), and a conceptual feed mock-up demonstrating how you would position a performance nutrition brand on Instagram—balancing education, accessibility, and visual identity without diet culture or overly aggressive fitness aesthetics.

Shortlisted candidates will interview with the Head of Growth and Managing Director. The anticipated start date is October/November 2026.

Pay

This is a full-time, on-site position in Hamburg with the option for hybrid work after onboarding. Our client has indicated a salary range of €48,000–€58,000 annually depending on experience. Compensation flows directly from the employer.
