Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential automotive aftermarket organization seeking a Product Compliance Manager in Hamburg. In this role, you will:
- Ensure technical product compliance for automotive parts according to applicable legal and technical requirements
- Evaluate and implement regulatory requirements at national and international levels
- Continuously monitor new technical and regulatory developments
- Manage and oversee homologation, type approval, and conformity assessment procedures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, sales, quality assurance, procurement, and legal departments
- Serve as point of contact for external testing institutes, authorities, and certification bodies
- Assess technical risks and support crisis and escalation management
- Ensure correct warning, safety, and labeling information on products
- Operationally implement regulatory requirements into existing product and process landscapes
- Contribute to strategic questions regarding product approval and international market requirements
What We're Looking For
- Completed technical degree, ideally in engineering
- Several years of professional experience in the technical/regulatory environment of the automotive industry or aftermarket parts sector
- Very strong technical product understanding and pronounced business focus
- Experience in practical implementation of regulatory requirements – not purely theoretical or research-oriented
- Very good knowledge of substance legislation (particularly REACH, POP, etc.) and due diligence law (particularly EUDR, etc.)
- Knowledge of labeling requirements based on German and EU legal acts
- Knowledge in homologation, type approval, and conformity assessment procedures in Germany and the EU
- High level of initiative and willingness to continuously learn new technical regulations
- Strong assertiveness with a structured and solution-oriented working style
- Initial experience in crisis management advantageous
- Very good German and English language skills
